GUNS’N'ROSES frontman Axl Rose has demanded a witch doctor to help prepare him for his Irish gigs.
The Welcome To The Jungle singer will fly to Ireland for the performances in Belfast tomorrow and Dublin on Wednesday.
The star snubbed the normal flight services into the country and instead hired his own EUR40,000-a-trip private jet so he can arrive in style.
And he has asked for a baffling array of odd extras for his backstage area – including a hypnotic witch doctor who can help him “cast a spell” over Irish fans.
Axl has also requested a EUR20,000 suite of exclusive designer furniture for his dressing room and an equally lavish EUR20,000 Bentley to drive him around Dublin.
A show insider revealed: “Axl is certainly living up to his reputation as the biggest ego in rock. We’ve never seen anything like this.
“He won’t travel on a normal commercial airline because he says he doesn’t like ‘being harassed’ by normal people.
“So he’s coming in on his own private jet and it will stay permanently parked up so he can fly off at any moment when he takes the notion.
“But even more bizarre is his request for a witch doctor. Apparently he asks for it at a lot of his shows but we’ve certainly never seen anything like this in Ireland before.
“Now everyone is scrambling around trying to find someone who can perform the kind of rituals that he requires to get him in the zone for the gig.
“As if that wasn’t enough he’s even stipulated the exact kind of leather suite he wants for his dressing room so we are having to get one flown in from Italy.”
The band’s show at Dublin’s 02 is almost sold out with fans of the band scrambling to book their place at the big comeback gigs
